Scope on revolver

Nikon Gold Crown. I wish it has 20" eye relief so I can fully lock my elbows.

Well I bought the 2-20 Burris for $320 free shipping and no tax so that is good. I have ordered the base and rings but that is a waiting game. Funny the other dealer I was working with (unnamed) was too busy to bother to return my calls or e-mails so I told them they lost the scope business, they had first crack at it. They have been crying pretty good since Cabellas came to the area, so I hear. As it turns out Prophet River would have been 35% cheaper for the rings/base but I had already ordered them. The local guy (different company again) I have been using as my reloading go-to-guy is gone from that business so that is bad news as well. He had been a great help to me so he will be missed.

Thanks everyone for your feedback. I will look into these new red dot sights some. Seems to me they have different mounting requirements than most guns have and need machine work to fit them. Could be wrong on that score!

Don't mean to derail, but wouldn't a red dot be more useful, especially at the effective ranges most handguns would be used at? Or are these really being used at 100 yards + ?

I used mine (2.5x on a Dan Wesson 44) on the silhouette range out to 200 meters all the time. It really helps you tune your hold and breathing. What you thought was rock solid; isn't. - dan

Scoped HG's look slick and wrong at the same time:). Wanted to scope my SBH Hunter but it's gone to another home now….
