scope on savage 110

hey guys, i have a savage 110 on route and what wondering if anyone knew what hight of scope rings would work well with a bushnell 3200 40mm objective? (i will be using weaver bases) thanks

I'm going to revive this because this is exactly what I'm going through now with mine.

I believe my rings are a set of Savage low profile. My 10x40 Elite fits on there and is very close to the ocular when cycling the bolt handle. I put a set of unknown brand high rings on and the height is good, but the scope is too far forward.

Savage model 110 LA with flat rear boss. It has Weaver style rings that will fit a 40mm obj lens, but because of the long action in 7mm Rem Mag, the scope is too far forward.

Question is, does anyone make a Picatinny rail for this rifle with an extended base? Or would a standard rail be enough to gain 1.5 -2" or rearward scope travel?

I believe these are medium Sig. Zee rings on steel Warne bases. The scope is a Nikon Buckmaster 6x18x40 side focus.

Scope appears to be back a long way?
What is the distance scope to rear of stock?
At home setting up a scope is one thing, actually shooting it is another.
More than once I've had the cut above eye shooting from ackward positions, 7RM.

The scope isn't too far back. It's set for the proper eye relief at the scopes highest power. I'm not worried about about scope eye. It's a .223, not a 7mm.

I have a set of direct mount Leupold rings if it will help? They are in stainless
