Scope On Savage Predator Rifle

Just wondering if any of you guys have any experience w/ the Simmons Scope(4-12x40 I think it is) that comes on this rifle.
I know its a lower end scope for sure, but just wondering if its decent or not cause I'm thinking about getting one.

My buddy has that Savage Preditor rifle that i took out and sighted in for him.
I was very impressed with it and the scope.
