Scope paint touch-up?

I would like to tidy up the edges of a Leupold VX II in matte.
Any of you attempt this feat oh daring due?
Caps and the ocular bell have sum shiney chit coming through.

What have you tried with any success?
Not trying to pretty it up for resale, but to make it look better on me T-Bolt......

The only thing I've seen are touch up pens/markers they come in blue and black for touching up gun finishes.
Unfortunately I don't recall the manufacturer but I do recall the manufacturer also sells blueing etc . Maybe "Casey something ..

Birchwood Casey ... I think .. I picked one up in black at a local gun shop last year

An other option might be to use a small brush and some BBQ flat black paint sprayed into the cap then brushed on.

I had a leupold vxII that had a ring mark in it. I took bbq paint and a model paint brush and lightly ran it down the ring mark. I let it sit for 5 min and used my thumb and kinda buffed it. the mark is un-noticable now. Not real scientific but it worked and the scope looks good
