Hi... Damn this is hard work eh.
I have been looking at a Redfield Revenge 6-18 x 44.... Good or bad ?
Anybody got good or bad news about them ?
I like the news I hear about Redfield so right now they are a strong 1st choice.

Ta very much for any info :)

Leupold mark 4 or better ; cuz Hungry says anyhting less and yer #### might fall off :D
Dunno about the redfield scopes but I do know some guys running them. Satain has shot lots with a redfield on his m14 but he just got sent to ban land  so we can't ask him :(

That's a lot of magnification. Sounds more like the specs for a target or varmint scope. Will that magnification range serve you well for your purposes?

I sort of need the magnification, old eyes. I can get by with iron sights out to 150 yds, and Im glad of that :) I tried a 10x Bushnell and my eyes were on the limit at 200 yds. Everything is just to tiny. I really do want to reach out to 6/700 yds, just for the fun of it.
So bearing in mind its a for fun thing and Im married to a knife throwing menopausal Polish maniac...who still doesnt know about the Promag stock, I want to keep the cost to around 450 bucks...that way I might keep the boys a while longer. And yes.. I do worry about #### loss...really LOL
So I would need 14 to 18x on a min 40mm lens for $450 or less. Im not out to win things, just to relive my misspent youth
Really appreciate you guys steering me along the right path

Plus when she busts me I can point to all the advice and say "they told me to do it "

I have the Redfield 3 X 9 X 40 and it is perfect on my 305

Redfield 4-12 x. They are made by Leupold.

Our range is 300 yrds. Best scope I've owned. Super clear glass. Everyone who looks through it immediately likes it. Very robust, can take the pounding of the M14. Have around 6000 rounds with that scope. Has never given me an issue.

Best scope for the price hands down.

We have a wiiner then :) 6ooo rounds is some sort of road test.

Off to town I go then.

This is probably gonna end up with #### loss, or at the very least a kick in the bag.....Bless her :) Its like livin with a Speznatz graduate.

Thanks all for the input..............its been fun........

I was a good guy..........

Another great point about owning a Redfield is warranty is handled by Korth in Alberta. I had there Revolution 4-12 and they a great scope for the price.

Thanks for all the input, really appreciate it :)

Made my choice and opted for a Redfield.....fingers crossed :)

Thanks again

To the OP, I have heard great things about redfield. That said, you can never go wrong with a bushnell 3200 or 4200. Decent glass for the money.

You seem to be quite a big mouth for someone who joined CGN this month. Satain will be missed on this forum.............Sooooo, what was your tag name on here before you got kicked off the last time?
