scope recommendation

Looking to get CZ 453 Varmint in 17HMR with Leupold VX 2 3-9x33mm Ultralight EFR Gloss Duplex scope. Will be mostly using it for target practice. Any thought on this scope?

Nice scope, but I like more magnification for shooting paper.

Yup

I'd agree, 3-9 is a nice hunting scope, but for mostly the range I'd look at a 5-15, or 4-16, 6-18 those sorts of scopes. i have a new 453 in 17 and I'm going to put a 3200 5-15 on it. FS

Any recommendations for scope rings and actual fit for 453 Varmint with the following scope?
