I'm looking to put a Vortex Diamondback 1.75-5x32 Riflescope on my M96 Swedish Mauser, but I'm not sure what size (height) I should buy in regards to scope rings to clear the bolt, (I have a turned-down bolt)?
I have several swedes ,some with straight bolts cut and rewelded to accomodate a scope ,others with the turned down bolt.The turned down bolt has a sharp angle that needs to be ground down to a radius to clear the scope.I found scopes with smaller eyepieces work best,other than resorting to high mounts.The swedes are very fine hunting rifles
