Greetings.

New to the hunting seen and seeking some help!

Purchasing a new scope for my new (inherited) Parker Hale .308 which is equipped with a Bushnell Scopechief vi- 32mm, and Im not sure on what size of scope ring i should purchase for a 40mm? I could go ahead and see if it would fit but it might be tight...

Be great if you guys could help me out.

edit: i know its hard to say because of the base, so i can upload a picture if it helps!

I'd say you should be fine using LOW rings. Most gun shops will let you choose a ring and try it on your base/scope combo assuming your going to buy from them.

Considering I'm ordering them online its sorta a pain in the ass incase of the wrong ring size. With a 32mm it currently has 9mm of room from the bottom of the bell to the top of the barrel.

Lows should offer sufficient objective lens clearance but you also need to worry about the bolt contacting the ocular end.

You live in Van City? Take the rifle with you on a little road trip to Reliable Gun on Fraser. You'll get what you need and have a new hangout all in one fell swoop.

What numbers/letters are on the rings? Chances are that it will end in a three, meaning parker hale rings for a one inch scope.
The base is fairly unique to the rings as well, typically coming in 19 or 16mm dovetail, denoted by an A or B on the second digit.
