Scope ring torque spec

I'd check with the scope manufacturer. You are tightening against the scope tube body so they are more likely the better source for torque specs, rather than the ring manufacturer.
 
Yes, I would either call or email them, just in case.



I have a bunch of different rings and bases, they all are in the range I said, but you never know.

I was at the range in Deer Lake, couple months ago, and I watched a guy torque his rings down with a screw driver.
He was reaving on it,at least 100 inch lbs.. lol

I was gonna say something, but thought,what the heck.
 
Here's some settings for a common brand:

Leupold: Base screws 14 in/lbs, ring screws, 15-17 in/lbs, and 45 in/lbs on the windage screw, 65 in/lbs on the cross bolt for the Mk IV ring.
