Hey guys and gals, fellow hunters and shooters.
I just got new rings and scope for a CZ 550 LUX. I decided to post this because I remember how difficult it was for me to figure out what rings to put on it and what scope to use. I'm also posting just because I like to show off. The style of stock is best suited for the iron sights the rifle has so mounting a scope can get technical. The scope can't be large, it can't be to small or the bolt handle wont clear it.
The rings are Leopold, I'll have to get back to eveyone on what the model number is because I left the case in the truck and its way to cold and I'm way to lazy to go out and get it. The rings are medium height. I think they're 0.490" almost a half inch high. The scope is a Nikon Monarch 2.5x8-32mm. I was originally going to go cheap and get the Nikon Pro Staff but the Pro Staff the store had was for a shotgun. In the end, It cost me $570 for the rings and scope. No bases needed since the rifle uses 19mm dovetail grooves. Check out in the second picture how the bolt handle barely makes it past the scope.
Id also like to thank Nanaimo Wholesale Sports today for there customer service. They got the scope rings in with in a few days, they let me try the rings on the rifle first, they let me test fit a few different scopes, and the one person even gave me an manderin orange well I was waiting for the scope to be mounted and bore stighted.
