Scope rings for Marlin 1894 dark

Curious what rings would be sufficient to mount my 30mm Nikon p-tactical 1-4x to my Marlin dark in 44 mag. I have medium rings for pic rail and they are too high so I'm hoping to find a low ring.

Any recommendations for something cost effective that will take the abuse of hundreds of 44mag rounds at a time and still clear the iron sights? I'm relatively new to shooting and don't have much experience with optics mounting on rifles.

Your best bet is to do a coin test to determine what height will work with your optic and still clear your iron sights. You haven't stated what brand of rings you currently already have and their dimensions. "Medium" generally doesn't mean anything since there is so much variance across brands. How high are your current rings and how much clearance do you want to eliminate above the rear irons?

Are you able to get a proper cheek weld with the ring/optic currently?

I have Leupold PRW Low rings for my Leupold scout scope on my Win 94 but I don't have to contend with the height of the XS rear peep sight as on your Marlin Dark.
