hey i bought the highest possible scope rings and the scope is still not clearing my ar15, i know that I can buy risers, but does anybody or has anybody tried a creative idea to fix this? example maybe a material inside the rings to raise the scope a bit?

yeah ived tried that works but would like it closer than a carry handle, anybody have tried any material between the rings to rise it a bit im not missing much

You must have a small head if you can rest your cheek on the rifle and see through the scope without using a riser or at least a see-thru mount.

I have used a 3/4" riser and i have used see-thru mounts. The latter are about 1/4"lower than what I would like for comfort.

Have you tried a Burris PEPR mount. They place the scope at the perfect height and as long as you aren't trying to put something crazy on there you should have no clearance issues.
Standard rifle scope rings don't usually work well on an AR because you need more eye relief than you can usually get without a cantilever mount. This all depends on the scope you are installing though.
What scope and what rings are you trying to use?
Some companies also offer extra high rings but a proper mount designed to be used with an AR is best.

ADM makes a 'high' mount that should work. That being said, I was able to fit a Trijicon 5-20x50 on my ACR (continous top rail like some AR's) without any issue with a 'standard' ADM mount.

What optic are you trying to get onto your AR?
