Setting up a new predator rifle and am stuck on rings. Scope is a Leupold VX5HD 3-15x44. Should I go with talley lightweights and lap them or burris signature xtr? Weight isn't a primary concern but the burris rings will take me up another 5-6oz.
The XTR Sigs are a much stouter ring, far easier on scope tubes, and can add inclination if you want. 5-6 ounces is a small price to pay for the performance difference IMO.
Of those two I would go with the Burris XTR Sigs as well. Even the regular Burris Signature Zee rings work great and are lighter. They both have the ring inserts that let you customize your cant and keep your scope free of any marks. I have Burris Sig rings on 3 or 4 of my rifles.
