What point did he make? That he can be a grumpy boy online?

If' you have the 30MM rings, and you want a 30MM tube, and have the funds for a Elite 6500, why not get one? It looks to be an excelelnt scope, and you don't ned to spend any more on the rings.

The Elite 6500 is an excellent scope...clarity is equal to my Swarovski and that thing is worth about three 6500s cost-wise...

Thanks for the feedback. I opted for a Falcon 4.5x18x56. It was much cheaper than the Bushnell and Loopy options, probably less scope, but I think that it will meet my needs. Now just waiting on rings to get her mounted.
