So I bought a model 114 in .270 for a really good price and want to top it off with nice bases, rings and scope. Also I guess I would need a range finder. I know little about scopes so I'm hoping you guys can help.
Hoping to spend $700 or less all together. I will be using the gun for hunting coyotes and long range plinking. I know 3-9 seems to be the norm but should I go with a higher power? Should I go with a standard base and ring setup or a one piece pic rail with clamp on mount (so I can store the scope away safely and doesn't get banged in my cabinet.) Any good scopes on the used market? Any advice is appreciated!
