I am having the 25" barrel on my BRNO 602 .375 H&H rifle shortened to 20". The 602 will be an allround BC hunting rifle as well as a camp defense rifle when I'm working.

I will be scoping the shortened 602, probably with a Leopold 2-7 V series scope with 5" of eye relief in Warne Maxima QD rings.

Any other scope suggestions for BC coastal muley hunting and the occassional long shot on this .375 H&H carbine?

I don't have a 375 but I do have a 1.5-5 Leupold on a 338 and a 2.5 Leupold on my 416.
Personally if it were me and the rifle was mainly used around camp, I'd go for the 2.5 just for the incredible field of view it offers.
Just my opinion

I was over at Reliable gun going over the same question with Shane. We put a VariX-111 1.5-5 next to a Nikon Monarch 1.5 -5. Both scopes were set to 4X. The Nikon was distinctly sharper and brighter, but the Leupold had a wider field of view. They both have 4 in eye relief. Either of these would be my pick.

Burris 1.5-5 with the safari reticle.Or VariXIII 1.5-5 with heavy X hair.I would lean more toward the burris with the lighted reticle for low light.
