Scope suggestions please

So, I have a new M1A Scout coming in the next few weeks. It has the top rail that is forward of the action. So, I think I should look for a scope with longer eye relief. I was looking at something around 10X magnification (not too large). Any ideas?

Has anyone put an acog on one of these? Or a Vortex Strikefire?

I was also considering a red dot instead of a scope with a small (moa) dot. And something that could co-witness with the iron sights.

My shooting probably would not go beyond 400m.

For that distance, a 4x or even a 6x is more than enough. I put a Weaver fixed power 6x on mine (no need for variable.....not as robust or bright as a fixed power for the same $) and shoot it out to 500m on a gong all day

Where did you find Weaver scopes in Canada?

They're around. I can't remember exactly whether it was Amazon or the EE.
