Scope Suggestions- Tikka 343 varmint SS...

Oops make that 243 ...fat fingers

Hello,

It would be helpful if I could have some suggestions on a scope for a new Tikka 234 varmint.

I will be using the gun about 60% of the time at the range trying to hit the target at 300 yds
35% of the time it will be used for coyote and 5% of the time if I have a chance to go deer hunting.

budget is around 500.00 and have to admit I like the tactical scopes better than hunting scopes

Some ammo suggestions could help out too

243 is a nice round, I just looked and I was using 100 gr power points, scope that price range a 3 x 9 . Its going to be what you can afford. I had a 2.5 x 16 on mine (Bushnell tactical 6500) Why Bushnell one on my 300 mag last zero , I walked into Bushnell Canada, gave them the scope, they handed me a new one in the box sun shade and all.I like a no bull #### company.But gun scopes everyone has their own preference

Vortex makes some nice ones in you range as well. I have a few of them now.

Where did you pick up this .243 varmint??

My Vote on the vortex viper 6-24. 6x for yotes, 24x for target.
