I'm trying to put a Leupold 2-7x33 on a .338 win mag, and the scope tube is too short for the rings. Any solution to this problem?

Will depend on the rifle and rings/bases being used... eg a long action Sako (older model) won't accept a short (between the bells) scope using the factory rings etc....not sure what you are trying to put the scope on... sometimes one piece bases work... also the weaver one piece can often accomodate shorter ring spacing etc etc. as other say there are also extension rings for some types of bases that may work - this is not an uncommon problem and there are some solutions that may work

Depending on the model, you could put a one piece base (picatinny) style say TPS with a set of HRT rings 7075al and you'll have your mounting problem solved. Sell the other rings/bases.

check out TPS site - http://www.tacticalprecision.com/

PS - we stock TPS as does PGW in Winnipeg

Problem solved. I went out and picked up a nice set of leupold rings and bases for the rifle today, and now she's sittin pretty.
