Scope upgrade?

Hi guys, looking for input on upcoming optic upgrade to savage model 16. Was a package gun purchased with a weaver 3-9 scope. Both my son and I shoot ok with it at 100 meters, but find it tougher at 200+ meters. Rifle will be used for varmints and paper shooting mostly. Looking at 4-16 Vortex, some used bushnell 4200 elite's. Any other possibilities that won't break the bank?

Try the new Zeiss Terra line,Great scopes at a decent price.

Consider the Sightron line up. Great optics, tracking and features that provide performance way higher then their price point.

You don't need more power to shoot at 200 yards. Can you see the target clearly? Reticle in focus? If so you don't need a new scope, just more practice.
