O.K. I am loosing my mind over this and I need some opinions on this. I have a AR15 LMTQCB68 and am looking for a scope/red dot based on the fact that if I want to start 3 gun competition what would be my best buy? I see all sorts of combinations with 4 plus power scopes with red dots attached but what about Eotec flop to side 3x scope? Advice please!

What are the most common target distances and presentations?
We get stuff going out to 300 yards here. So I went with a 1-4 scope.
Some people here use a EOTech with a flip-over magnifier, but I find that with the cost of that set up, I was better off with a good 1-4 scope...
Also find out how the divisions for where you shoot go... you may put yourself in a open division with magnified optics.
