scope won't fit 1938 husqvarna

Sorry Folks, Just in a shi+ty mood tonight. I don't mean to sh*t on the two members but this is why some of the fellows that have contributed so much to this site have left.

Weaver bases with weaver extension rings will work but maybe not with that scope as you will be running into the rear sight since just about anything will be lower then those see through rings. Also no guarantee the hole spacing will match up with Weaver bases as those one piece see through things are low grade.
The rear weaver base will need to be filed to clear the bolt handle on a '96 action. You will need a low swing safety if you plan on hunting with it which also requires grinding of the cocking piece.
To mount a scope on these properly really requires some gunsmithing.

How about modifying that front ring/base so it will accommodate your scope? It is not expensive ring and it is aluminum. 10 min with flat Swiss file will accomplish what you want.

I had a funny feelong the weaver base was too good to be true ...the rear sight i'm not worried about , I can remove it. I'll figure something out , I'll try cutting a bit of meat off of the see through rings for now and just use 2 bolts on the cover. instead of 4
