Can anyone hang a pic here of some scoped air rifles? What are you running for rings/bases/scopes on yours?

I'm using some ridiculously high mounts on my Magnum 350 (came with it) and I just can't get used to it.

On my powder burners I use predominantly Talley Lows and 40mm obj Leupolds....

Thanks.

Is the hight of your bases due to the makers intent to also allow the use of the iron sights? I had a bushnell 3-9x32mm scope and ring setup on my Slavia 631 lux. I took it off because the front sight post and hood interfered with the sight picture. Unfortunately for me the high rise scope that came with the gun was sold separately by the nefarious store owner.

You'll pretty much have to get used to the high mounts, or remove your front sight. I put a 4x32 centre point on my Crosman Phantom, using the medium rings that came with it, and all i could see in the bottom half of the scope was a blurry bright green blob of the fibre optic front sight. I'm also not a fan of high mounts. My dad has a Diana 350 magnum, and after the weaver base, rings, it's hard to shoot comfortably. He can shoot it all day, but i find it difficult to shoot without a proper cheek weld.

I have zero issue with pulling the iron sights off. I've contemplated doing it a couple of times already actually.

I'm just curious to see what other guys are running on their air rifles. 4 power would be not too shabby, as opposed to the 3-9X44 RWS I've got on it currently. Its just ridiculously high right now.....

I suppose, another question I have is what guys are running for scopes period?

What bushnells are airgun rated? All of them?

I had to shell out for Millet rings for mine. My gun is old enough that it didn't come with the ring backstop on the dovetails. Millets are the only ones I could find that don't slide in the grooves.
For a scope I just have an old 4x40mm that I took off an Enfield. Made by Global Int. or something odd like that. It's been holding up for 7 or 8 years now.

Embarassing to post this to some extent (especially after justaplinker's beautiful rifles), but this was the setup I ran as a kid years ago. Factory peep sight was cheap at best and the rear sight mount was crooked, so on went the scope. It's a Baikal IZH61 with a bargain basement Crosman 4x on it - dovetail rail was so short and the gun so small I had to put both mounts behind the turrets to get useable eye relief. Wouldn't hold a zero to save it's own life. Also threw an RWS muzzle brake on there, shimmed with cardboard or something. Try to ignore the tacticool pressure switch maglite

Ah well, it's been a good childhood companion....perforated it's share of cans, paper, and paintballs, no doubt. Still have it, minus the scope, but haven't fired it in years. Seals are probably dry as a bone by now :(

Not a bad looking setup, to be honest....although, the dual rings behind the turrets looks a bit off.

Still, as long as it did what it was supposed to do and made you happy who am I to judge.

You should have seen the one I had as a kid, shot a crow with it, he turned around in disgust and picked the pellet out of his feathers with his beak, cawed at me and flew away... I threw the gun in the nearest garabage can - I finally got him tho with my HW80 - he did'nt even see it coming.

I've terminated lots of crows with my HW80K/.22 and JSB Predators...................along with several feeds of grouse...................Harold

Yessir. It was far from perfect, to be sure - but I wasn't exactly a serious shooter back then, and even with the goofy mount, the rifle was more accurate than my hands would allow :) I never tried hunting with this, for the record - it just wasn't up to the task stacked up against my dad's .22 LR. Squirrels fall like wheat before the scythe with that, but my .177 was strictly a plinker.

As for my own .22, I've got a Tasco rimfire 3-9x32 on medium weaver rings.

I just sold my 350 magnum with the RWS mount. I glued a piece of 1/2" pipe insulation to the comb to bring my eye up and even soften the recoil.

I have used a Bushnell banner 4-12x40 A/O which is prefered for a cheap scope with a warranty which can be so important with springers.
This is not an AG but this is the set up i use

I also picked up a tasco bantam 4x compact from walmart in the US, im surprised it holds
up on my springers ive had it mounted on my HW50 and currently on my beeman C1

I always use a one piece mount on all my guns minimum 3 inches long I also find them used alot so dont know the brands. Just a tip place a strip of hockey tape on the rail. Tighten your mount onto it and its sticks really well and stops the movement

I have a RWS 4x short type scope on my Diana 22 side cocker and had great sucsess, also have used old cheap Bushnells left over from guns I bought with these on them, for some reason they worked out great and haven't blown apart on my Hatsan 177 boosted to 1200fps and has worked well and really suprised me!The RWS 4x scope is the best deal out there for a small fiixed scope for around $60! cheers Dale in T-Bay

On my Diana 48 and 36, I use the RWS one piece scope mount and have had great success with Leapers 3-9x40 and 3-9x50.
They hold up real well to the recoil, nice optics and cost under $100 from Airgunsource.com
Good Luck
