I received my S & K Mount for my Mosin today and put a NC Star 2-7x32 Scope on it...... the eye relief is perfect. The S & K mount is great, very sturdy and well built hopefully I will get some range time in soon.

Good lookin' job. That looks better than the overpriced so-called snipers floating around these days. Let us know how she shoots when you get a chance.

Thanks Cainesy...will do.
This set up went together really easy although driving the pin out for the rear sight took a little bit of effort...lol Those suckers are in there good. I was going to loctite all the hardware but I think I will wait until I get to the Range and see if I have to make adjustments first.

Strato50, may I inquire as to where you got the mount? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
cheers

Hi tungngroove2000,
I ordered the S & K Mount from Brownells, I checked with them first and they were able to ship these to Canada...it was around $60.00. I ordered the NC-Star scope from Frontier Firearms....you will love this Mount! it dropped into my rear sight like a glove with no drilling or tapping to deal with.

NIce looking set up. I need to do something similar. I thought I would remove the entire rear site and utilise the 3?8 sight base already there. I would be curious how the bipod will effect grouping. Let us know. Try it on sand bags without the bipod then use the bipod and note the difference.

Thanks Points and will do.
I hope to get out early Sept, This is my first Mosin that I have owned so I am really looking forward to taking it out to the Range ....next I think I will maybe get a SVT-40. Christmas not to far away I will have to start dropping hints to the Wife...lol

Looks almost as good as my mossin buba!
Works on both long eye relief with standard bolt:

And for bent handel with regular scope too:

It looks good on there, I just picked up an S&K mount for my SKS, it attaches the same way, and that pin was a bugger to remove.

That Bipod looks funny so far forward.. nice gun though

I have an S&K mount on my M-48 Mauser and it works just great. The nice things about their mounts is that you can revert back to the original sights with no modifications to the rifle.

Schmidt Rubin owners take note. They make a Scout mount for the 1911 and K-31 rifles as well. Rock solid mounts at reasonable prices!

That is what I liked the most about this option, everything can very easily be put back to the way it was originally and it was a very easily installation...which for me is a good thing as I am not very mechanically inclined.
