scoped winchester model 12?

im thinking of modifying my model 12. is it possible to drill and tap the receiver for a base? or will it interfere with the action? anyone ever done it or have pics of this?

I would get ahold of Struff55 on this site, he is an expert on scoping Winchester Model 12s.

Thanks Ben . Drilling and tapping a Model 12 is fairly straight ahead no interference with the internal workings use standard 6-48 screws and drill threw the receiver find abase to fit the contour of the top of the receiver and don't worry about the space in the centre it will not be an issue use the longest screws possible.
