scoping a baikal 222

I am going to be wanting to scope a baikal single shot in 222. has the integral 3/8ths dovetail in the barrel shank. (it is short)

Just wondering if any one has any experience with scoping these rifles? Would like to keep the scope in scale with the rifle and mounting surface so need something compactish. Any thoughts?

thanks for the option, I am a bit old fashioned about batteries on my rifle so I 'll probabley look for a non illuminated option, appreciate the response though.
