Just picked up a Baikal IZH-18MH in 308 from a fellow CGNer and wonder what rings to use? I've got an older 4 X waiting for her.
It has a " 11 mm scope rail ".
Prefer a see through so I can still use the iron sights.
Thanks.

I had a Baikal with the same rail, and found that a one-piece airgun mount fit very well. They were in LeBarons catalog last year, and I've seen them at gun shows as well. They're cheap, aluminum, and not too bad looking. I had mine mounted at the very front of the rail, so that the tapered-off portion of the dovetail acted as a stop to prevent the mount from sliding forward under recoil. No see-through feature, unfortunately, but for around twenty bucks it'll get you shooting and you can continue searching for something better at your leisure. Mine was on a .30-06 and held up well for several years until I sold the gun.

B-square has the perfect set for this gun. It is a 1 piece with 1" rings built in. I have 2 spr-94's in the rimfire and 223. It is designed for airguns but it is very strong and can easily stand upto centerfire guns. It gives you lots of eye relief to adjust and play with.
B-Square 17130 is the model #. Or at least close to it.
