Does anyone has their M14 setup with optics? Pictures & range reports welcomed. Acog or others prefered.

It is mounted on the AR10 so it sits on the flat top receiver. I don't think I would put it on an M14. I have compact acogs on the M14s on scout rails...

I read on the M14 forum that Smith has a new base to work with the ACOG's. That might give you some more options.

My buddy just bought a new Acog TA31(For his AR Carbine) & it is nice...He told me the TA11 on A.R.M.S #18 is the one mostly used for M14/M1A's.

An Acog is basically set up at a height equivalent to using medium rings on a regular scope

Oops correction, I re-checked my setup, it's actually equivalent to using HIGH ARMS #22 rings or medium ARMS#35 mounted on a #35QD base.

I use a Leupold 1.5-5 MR/T and love it. Zeroed for 200m first tick dead on at 400m and 6 o'clock hold bottom of circle at 500m. That's with an 18.5" barrel. 300m takes a little practice as it has no actual hold mark. I think I'll try a 300m zero and see how the holds work. Unfortunatly the scope only comes with the 5.56 BDC but contacted Leuplod and for $59 US they will make me a turret if I give them a weight and velocity. All in all, i think this is a perfect scope for the capabilities of the rifle. I can make consistant hits to 500m and the field of veiw is right for a battle rifle.

I'm useing a IOR Valdala M1 with the .308 BCD in ARMS #35 rings. I like optical clarity and the range finding capability of this scope. I'd compare the image and reticle to an ACOG. I'm just waiting for my new stock to make the final adjustments. I've only sighted it with a poor cheek weld.

While reading a SOF magazine, noticed a few M14's with Leupold Mk4 LR/T 3.5-10x40..A designated marksman in Iraq can't go wrong.

Anybody know if any other .308 Trijicon ACOG's in the forecast???

Check out this new mount from Trijicon..TA-70 low M14/M1A mount..Any better than the ARMS or Smith's??
