Scoping a Rem 700 LTR?

What size would the ideal scope be for a Remy 700 LTR.. Bearing in mind of its shorter barrel length of course...

I've seen pics of an LTR with a Leupy 3.5-10x40 M1 as well as the M3 model. It looks like it fits quite nicely - not too large in relation to the more compact size of the rifle...

I use a leupold 3.5-10x40 M3. I have tried a number of different ones, and this seams to be the best fit.

Ultimately it depends on what you are wanting to do with it. I have thought of putting acog on there for the weight.

My LTR has a Leuplod Mark 4 4.5-15X50. I find this magnification to be ideal for the mid range targets and the overall length to be quite compact compared to the next size up at 6-5-20X50.

Thanks for the advice boyz, I made a conclusion that it is going to be a Leupold Mk4 4.5-14x50 LRT or a NightForce 5-15x50 or 56.

Posted pictures of my dad's in the gallery under the tactical/sniper thread, it has a Bushnel 3200 10X Tactical. Great scope, fits well and works well. Best of all, it is priced well!

We have the same set-up for the moment...Overall good but there is better, way better out there.
