I bought a scoped 788 in .308 a few months back and I noticed right away that it was having ejection problems. I took the scope off and tried it again and it worked fine. I determined the problem to be that the cases were hitting the adjustment knob on the side of the scope and then falling back into the action. I tried 2 scopes already and the cases are still doing the same thing. Im sure I'm not the first person to own a scoped 788, so hopefully some of you guys can give me advice on how to fix this.

Thanks

well known issue with 788's....

turn your scope 90 degrees to the left...(counter clockwise as viewed from the butt end of the rifle)

your windage adjustment turns to the top and becomes your elevation,....elevation knob goes 90 deg to the left side and becomes your windage......
