What are you shooting slugs by the case at? Target shooting? I don't think I have shot 10 slugs in 35 years? In fact I have been carrying two left from a box of 5 Imperial Poly Kor slugs in my shooting bag since about 1985 as a just in case I have a tag to fill and only have my shotgun with me. :)

Lol no offence, but you sound like my dad. "400 shotgun shells in an afternoon???? I haven't put 25 shotgun shells thru the old Ithaca in 50 years!"

If you've got an old Ithaca with a hard rubber recoil pad, or worse a buttplate, then a handful of slugs is a lot.

With a decent recoil pad and maybe a bit more weight on the gun, its no big deal.

True. I've fired that old Ithaca Featherlite.
But dad is just an old farmer that believes every .22 LR and shotgun shell fired must count because he comes from an era where a box of .22 LR was the price of a full day's work when you made $0.05 an hour.
I love my Pops....but I never tell him my round count after a good day at the range...just one of those things.

Gotta respect the old farmers, my dad wasn't a farmer but was cut from the same cloth, these guys could squeeze a nickel that hard the beaver would sh!t!

The score 00 buck patterns quite well compared to others.

I recently compared patterns at 12-15m fired through a Mossberg 590 no choke, standing supported with several other brands. I tried Dominion, Winchester standard and ranger, Sellier and Bellot, Hornady tap and critical defense and coyote, federal black box, Federal Estate, Federal Premium critical defense.
Hands down the tightest grouping is the Federal Premium critical defense with flight control, followed secondly by Score, third place was a seeming averaged tie of the Hornady and Federal regular products followed by S&B, Winchester and Dominion coming in last most of the time.

The Federal premium is rare as hens teeth around where I find stuff, but Score is available and is a good shooter.

LOL why am I not surprised...

I received an email from WSS stating that they did not have stock on the 1 oz slugs and that I needed to cancel the order and reorder only the 1 1/8 oz slugs.

So I cancelled the order and drove into my local WSS and purchased 100 of the 1 oz slugs = I won't be wasting my time ordering on line from them again...
