scored some Black Friday Ruger 10/22 deals

Headed to Grand Forks early today to pick up some good deals on a couple of 10/22's. Cabela's opened at 5:00 am and Scheels opened at 7:00 am. I was about 300 people back at Cabela's and at Scheels I just sat in the pickup till the line went down.

Picked up a nice Ruger 10/22 Takedown Kryptec Camo at Scheels for $249.99 USD...$150 off regular price. Came with two 25 round mags, CP 3-9x32 illuminated reticle scope, security lock, bag and manual. I'll prolly ditch the scope for something else. I really like that camo job!

Picked up a plain jane wood stocked Ruger 10/22 at Cabela's for $189.99 USD...$70 off regular price. Plus while waiting in line for the doors to open they gave the first 600 people in line a gift...mine turned out to be a $10 gift certificate so I put that towards the gun purchase....so I actually got the gun for $179.99.

I was unimpressed with the QC of a new one a friend bought 2 years ago, but I think that was during one of Bammy's big gun sales events

took the included CP scope off and will prolly go with this UTG 3-9x32 Adjustable Objective "Bug Buster" scope and the flush mounted 10 round magazine.

great deals on nice looking takedown. we are sure getting hosed here by the cablela's over pricing as well as by the rcmp over the 25 round mags. man, i'm getting tired of getting bent over so much.....
