Scorpio EM332A mods - making a silk purse from a sow's ear

I store my rifles bolt-less and it keeps them protected and high vis. It's a combination of some guns being too wide for my cases with the bolt left in and double security if the horse men ever enter my place.

What is the purpose of the bolt sleeve?

Good question.

I've seen those "sleeves" done with cut off/fired 12/20 ga. shell hulls.

If the bolt rattles in the sleeve, simply wrap some toilet paper around the bolt before installing it into the sleeve.

In a shtf scenario - it's a no brainer - You're always safe/ready to go...

Where is this silk purse?

My stock is almost as square as yours!

Here's Rev 2 of my mag base. Rock solid now! I have a daydream of making a full size cover akin to the rimx or aics mags.

Keep us updated with your stock as it progresses. Looks good so far. Im assuming you have access to a CNC for the inletting. Good to see you are using a mask when working. Lots of people think its just sawdust but the only good thing in your lungs is clean air!!

I 3d printed a trigger guard assembly and put my 13" rifle into the stock from my old NS522. I also did a little bit of polishing the seat and trigger, and added an over travel screw to the trigger mechanism. This one looks to be a cast aluminum trigger housing, with pins press fit in for the pivots, instead of the longer barrel ones which have a steel trigger housing and a removable side plate. The short 5 round mags from my NS522 fit almost flush, so that's nice. I haven't shot it yet, but maybe tomorrow.

No, I drilled and tapped a 3mm hole at the front of the trigger housing where the trigger travels forward. Have to take the action out of the stock to adjust it, but it stays hidden.

Nice, I was contemplating some sort of overtravel stop, I will have to investigate that angle!
Thanks!

I just listed my maple stock blank on the EE if anyone wants to try their hand at making their own stock. The hard and critical work has already been done. I found a big piece of mahogany that I want to work with instead but HATE wasting wood (the maple I glued up and cut already)
