scorpion’ machine pistol

I'm confused - these are specifically prohibited in Canada (Firearms Regulations Schedule, Current to 2013-03-18, Former Prohibited Weapons Order, No. 11, Sec. 44: "The firearm of the design commonly known as the Skorpion Auto Pistol, and any variant or modified version of it.")...so how are they able to import it? Plus, anything in .32 caliber that's not specifically exempted (and the Skorpion isn't exempted), is also prohibited...

Obviously, I must be missing something...

I think it's a "rifle" technically, so it's not proib my name or because it's a .32 pistol caliber.

Don't get me wrong - I don't want to see ANYTHING prohibited - some of my favorite guns have become prohibited, and the whole classification system is a joke.

As .223Rem pointed out, it appears they're classed as restricted rifles, so I guess that's how they get in. On the international market they're referred to as the "M84 Skorpion Machine Pistol", but if we can get away with importing them & calling them rifles, that's awesome. It's a step forward through the swamp of regulations...

Another "lets prohibit this!" thread. All machine pistols are prohib, get a clue.

:agree:

Language is everything. The words "machine pistol" should never be uttered when refering to something that is a pistol or a restricted rifle.

This is a public forum gents.

You have no idea who's watching....

Remember the rules aren't rational and neither are the people who want our hobby crushed. Just had the arguement a few hours ago. "I don't pay attention to numbers"...Get the picture?

A little over reaction guys My mistake its a M84 Škorpion. I could not think of the proper name but being an old army guy That name pop into my mine. PC Niner thats for the info.
And to the on lookers its a legal rifle....,

Buy one they function great. trigger is nice. The only thing is the brass goes straight up and off your head. I lost some brass last time i brought a couple of girls out with it. I looked for a while and nothing LOL

Love mine, a real attention grabber at the range
