Scorpion Optics....Any Good?

Tomochan, The leopould knockoffs are total garbage. Utter junk!! One of my buddies bought 3 off ebay, and gave me his ruger 10/22 and a pair of rings and asked me to set I up for him. They were mark 4 knockoffs,4-16x50. So I take this scope out to my range, and it looked pretty good. Nice thin crosshairs, ok clarity, so I get it minutes and try shooting. After 70 rounds I didn't have it zeroed yet. The screws holding the turrets I'n place stripped out, and as I was shooting the reticle started to tilt over sideways, every time I fired. Total crap.

Sadly, we are both right. The ones I've looked through are not bad and one I put on a M14 simply worked like a champ whereas you had one that was utter junk which, indeed, highlights the main problem with Made in China which is inconsistent quality control. This is the main reason why I do not recommend lower-price Made in China glass.

Thinking about Getting a Scorpion Scope for my Varmint Rig. Probably something in the 4x16 power range. Ive got leupolds and Nikons on other rifles but just thought perhaps Id try something different.

Thoughts on these scopes please.
I just bought a swat tac ops one for my XCR it had a 500 dollar price tag I installed it levelled it shot literally 10 rounds through it and the crosshairs turned sideways, I returned it and got my money back and will stay away from now on!!

Chinese scopes are crap period. Whether it's Millet, Vortex, Bushnell, Tasco, Simmons, Minox etc who stamps their name on it, the made in China scopes are not worth the money.
Philippines and Korea are the bare minimum for cheap scopes and are better then anything Chinese. Japan, US, EU made scopes are generally fairly high quality and well worth the extra cash.
