Scorpion Red Hot 17?

Looking at buying a 17 HMR. Local sale has a couple Tikka T1X on for $549. Was thinking of trying the Scorpion "Red Hot 17" on top of it. This is to be just a fun gun, mainly for popping the tops of grouse. Not looking to win any competitions or anything. I realize they are on the low end of things, but for what I'm looking to do, I thought it might be worth a try for the $260+tax. Anyone have any experience with these specifically? As you can see by my price points I'm, well, cheap honestly. Open to suggestions if there are better options in the $250-350 range.

I know this thread is a bit old; but i just bought one a short while ago. I bought it based on the good things I have heard from our local hunting community. SFRC had a sale on , and I got it for $200.00; just waiting to get it to the range. I really liked the knob for adjusting elevation; I hope it works as well as they say. If it turns out to be a good scope, I will buy another for my .22, with a .22 knob.
