Local CT just bought in a few Scorpion Scopes.
Made in Winnipeg?
I was looking at one 4-12 duplex crosshairs, parallax adjustment.
$389
Compared to a vx3 they have , same reticle , no parallax adjustment, $899
Looking through both , I found the scorpion just a bit brighter.

Anybody using the scorpion?
What am I getting for an extra $500 with the Leupold? Besides no parallax

At 389 you could get the vortex crossfire hd, that's probably what i would do.
However i have used 2 scorpion optics within the past year on a couple 22s and thought they were very nice for the money.

I’m stuck on parallax, don’t know why but I just am.
That’s why the scorpion caught my eye.

Just purchased a cheap .223 and thought the scorpion would do

Everyone says made in Japan are better.

So, do that mean all the components are made in Japan? Or do it mean labor?

Ya, tempting but I think I’ll pass.
Same scope is going for $100 less on Scorpion website

Budget is selling them now as well. I purchased a used one on the EE here for 75 bucks and he threw in 250 WLRM primers. Threw it on a brand new Win. XPR 6.8 western also purchased on the EE here. I'm happy with it for it's purpose. Brent and Coco (Budget Shooting Supplies) were telling me that Scorpion bought the licensing from Nikon and continue to use the glass. Yes the glass is good. I had no issues dialing it in with four shots. I think for the price they are worth it. I don't use it for long range so I'm not dialing it up and down so I can't speak for the tracking but it adjusted perfectly as I dialed it in. If my brain was counting the clicks properly it would have dialed in in two shots. I never asked about the warranty but I suspect it will be similar to everyone else and possibly less hassle as a Canadian product. Cheers

The inexpensive ones are pretty clunky. I have a 3-9x Vision on a .22 and it's ok, the build quality seems good, and I like the reticle.
They've rebranded the higher end ones as Telson Optics.
The distributor is here in Winnipeg.

Between my son and I we have 5 scorpion scopes.
3 hot 17's and 2 copperheads. The first ones we bought years ago had some issues with the reticle turning after a couple hundred rounds of 17hmr. Took them back to Heights sporting here in the peg. They pull a new out from under the counter and off we go.
Have not had any issues for years now.
The Scorpion plant, and retail desk for lack of a better description has moved to a new location just outside the city.
Say what you will about some "value" scopes. If you do a lot of snap shooting in the gopher patch the eye relief is more forgiving.
With a more expensive scope if your eye relief is not perfect your sight picture changes drastically.

Have seen a couple Scorpions at nrl22 matches, they worked, time will tell maybe
I doubt they were on the gun of anyone placing top five! ( Providing there was six or more shooters.

You keep telling yourself that!!
Made in China garbage.
Exactly this^^^^. Im amazed at the lack of knowledge about optics on this site from some. Bigger lenses GATHER more light and other such dillusions.
