Scotland hunting?

I would look around on Google.... There are many outfitters and you can hunt hind, roebuck, and stag in crianlarich (sp?) and upland game (which they call "rough")...... When I was out there last, I did a two day upland hunt, but that was after making on the spot arrangements with an outfitter that was happy to fill a vacancy..... Usually they want a minimum 4 day commitment......

Know any of the Windsors? I hear they do some shooting at their summer place in Scotland.

We were staying at a place on Loch Maree in north central Scotland. I hired a Ghillie and went trout fishing on the lake. Very interesting day. There laws and methods of fishing and hunting are vastly different than North America. Keep an open mind and try it.

And yes if you know any of the Windsor's they can be a great assistance. Liz is a sweetheart, but Charles can be a bit of a stuffed shirt.

We're going to travel alot, but I do have a cottage for a week on the end of loch ness for a base camp as we are renting a car. Also heading to Orkney as that's where my family came from, hit up a few distillery's, travel to isle of skye. It will be busy but if I could wet a line or let of a shot it would be e that much better. I'll just have to keep on Google. Or hit the pub and talk to the locals one I get there

Isle of Skye is quite spectacular, we did the circle loop crossing over at Kyle. On the west side, I can not remember exactly where there is a small post office with a woollen shop attached to it. A fantastic place to buy woollen goods made by all the local ladies and many of the outer islands. I ended up buying 4 sweaters just at that shop alone. There is a nice hotel to stay at near the ferry, now there is a bridge, when I was there it was only a ferry. Might have been the Kyle Hotel, anyways Kyle of Lochalsh has several nice places, as does the Isle of Skye, I would encourage you to try B&B's as you get to meet many nice local folks. We stayed in several on Skye. Have a great time.
