scout mounting a red dot *editied/corrected*

Just checked, and No u can not see the the front sight. It would need to come down around 3 mm or so to covitness. Not sure if I'll be making any more parts. I am however clearing out what ever I have left.

5moa dot and the fact it won't last. Look into the C3: mwgco . com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?store_code=MWG&screen=PROD&product_code=AIM-11421

Everything you'll need and nothing you won't.

Besides what I said earlier about the Ultimak it does have some other nice features (no slight on your mount Rooster). It seems to stabilize the barrel and help accuracy (mine was MOA with the Ultimak on).

Or you could opt for the Rauch Tactical mount that is due out in the next couple months. Then you could mount any optic type you want :D

hmmmmmmm eotech or aimpoint.......... what a dilema i find myself faced with....... recommendations?? , never owned a holo sight/red dot sight except back in my paintball days...... and yes it's going on an m14, troy mcs equiped

All I can say is that the Eotech reticle is incredibly fast.

The tradeoff is of course that Aimpoints don't use up batteries much...but as a paranoid survivalist I prefer hours of combat time with the fastest target acquisition on the field to any amount of time with the second fastest, if you know what I mean!

EDITED TO ADD: I LOVE the rooster33 mount and think that for an aimpoint application it is superior to the ultimak rail in every regard other than it is a little too high to allow co-witnessing as illustrated in the above photographs. Were there ever to be a rev2 of the Rooster Scout Mount that was low enough to allow this I would be buying a half dozen of them in a heartbeat....hint hint hint!

Brobee

I would be all over that like a fat lez on Rosie as well.
