I'm looking for an economical pistol or ler scope for a scout rifle...any suggestions and price/availability?

A handgun scope and one designed for a scout rifle are not exactly the same even though they both have long eye relief.

Please check this out carefully, if you want to use a handgun scope on a scout rifle.

I have built a couple of scout rifles, and used Burris and Leupold scopes on them. Burris are less expensive, Leupolds have a better (in Canada) warranty. FWIW - dan

S.I.R. Mail Order's catalogue lists a Bushnell Trophy, 2-6x32mm with long eye relief, which they describe as being for mounting on a "scout" rifle.

I use a Burris 2.75 X on my Savage model 10. I have basically no neck to speak of so the LER on the Burris is great for me.
