scratches on 10/22 barrel...

i took both barrel bands off on my new 10/22s and did not have any scratches on the blued finish. shot a few bricks though each and took apart and cleaned both rifles... still no scratches to be (scene)? < spelling?
 
I'm talking about in front of the band...

Do you shoot your guns, or just pose with them?? This is a general statement directed towards many on this forum. Firearms are a working tool and will show signs of wear. If you're into collecting guns and want a safe queen I can see where some scratches could be an issue.

Agreed but I can understand how a scratch on a new firearm would be a little upsetting. Been there myself. rj, go shoot and enjoy it and know that scratches make your firearms more personal and unique. :cool:
