I’ve read some widely different opinions on this one; can a Browning Superposed be fitted for screw in chokes? Some say the barrels are too thin. Others say yes, if it’s fitted for a specific brand of chokes (the name is escaping me right now). Thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Colonial 'Thin Wall" and or even Briley choke tubes....

Yes, of course it can be done, but the cons may out weigh the Pro's with $$ spent on the conversion.
There is a gentleman from Sask who will chime in with more detailed information .. the members name escapes me now.
gunteck is another retired member who has over 50 yrs may offer up his opinion too.

Briley thinwalls are the only real choice that will work in the superpoised they are not cheap by a long shot. The Colonial thinwall are not all that thin they may work in some guns but not in superpoised barrels. I myself side with the don't molest crowd.
Agreed. If you really want a gun with screw chokes there are lots of modern guns with them and Browning's Citori is a good choice. Leave your Superposed as it was made.
Briley does offer steel shot compatable thinwall tubes the new web page shows them. But steel through those superpoised barrels would be a no no for me anyways . Choke tubes are overated in my opinion.
