I want to add a QD point for a bipod onto my archangel mosin nagant, and any solid areas on the underside are thin, and go into the honeycombish chambers that the barrel floats over.
I have a heavy thread QD point i can put in, done that before on other stocks, but it will stick through the thin material into open space.
I thought i could add structure at that point by filling that hollow chamber a little bit with PL Premium Urethane adhesive... Or some kind of epoxy.
What product will stick best to the black resin material they use? I dont need to fill it right in, maybe add 3/16" of material... give it something for a couple more heavy threads to cut into.
The recoil has loosened off several bolt on picatinny rails that use the small threaded bolts through the holes in the bottom of the stock. Even with blue loctite. So I'd like to do a permanent install point.
