i recently found a used sidemount scope mount for my cooey model 600 but i don't have the screw to install it. does somebody know wtigh one is needed or someone tell me a place to find it. i can go to a gunsmith but if i can find it before, i will take it.
 
I don`t have a cooey 600 anymore but the N mount i have has fairly large holes to mount on the action so my best guess is 8x40. Maybe 6x48 but the mounting holes look a little big for that, scews have been robbed from the bag so i can`t tell for sure.
 
Any decent gunshop should have the screws you need. 8x40 is a common thread for large bases. I have a screw kit from Brownells that has most of the sight screws found on rifles, very handy kit.
 
i got it. it was 8x40. i went to the gunsmith this afternoon, he installed it himself and also replace the broken plastic triggerguard by a steel one.
