Bought one and a bunch of mags a while ago, Ive gotta say that it is a pretty cool and well made firearm , I've got glocks and Springfield's and M&P's but this is a great gun for the money , don't mind trigger either

I tied the trigger and didn't see what's all the fuss is about. It wasn't great but it was ok. I have a gen4 G17 so reluctant to get a sub par similar gun but it is peeking my interest for sure.

I hate it when folks complain about the trigger vs any other gun they have. Of course it isnt as smooth as a regular/competition gun, its designed as a self defense(US market)gun with a purposely heavy trigger. You wouldnt want too light a trigger in a self defense situation as the adrenaline may result in you firing the gun when not necessary. I have it in 9mm(SD9VE for those who dont know it stands for Self Defense 9 Value Enhanced). I have stated this before but if u are an old revolver guy the heavy trigger is nothing..and you can change it with a Apex kit if u wish, bringing it from 8# down to a consistent 4#. Reset is kinda sucky but I was overjoyed with the performance and accuracy. For a sub $400 gun it was a keeper. I see where lots moan about the trigger etc but may not be aware that the heavy trigger is intentional. It is the gun that S&W modified(from Sigma) as a result of the lawsuit, being a clone of the Glock. The grip profile is actually better(and I am a Glock guy too) and ideal for a smaller hand. I agree with HH and his comments. Nothing to worry about for a gun that sets u back for under $400 with 2 mags. YMMV

I had the .40.. Was surprised by the quality of the slide (nice)...was my first striker..didn't love the trigger but didn't love shooting it enough to upgrade to the apex...glad I tried it...wasn't a keeper...

my gun(sd40ve) is the perfect defense weapon, perfect grip and great trigger, its a keeper at $399 including 2 mags , show me a better value in a new striker fired pistol and ill buy it

between SD, Glock and a 1911 it has the best feel in the hand. I bought a galloway trigger hope that helps the pull, if not so what it so cheap I gotta keep it!

Love my SD9 and I can say after about 1500 rounds and no malfunctions the trigger lightens up by it self these are amazing pistols for the price......no need for the apex trigger kit just buy more ammo....best bang for the buck by far with the American dollar low the price is still the same as when they first came to canada

If you're anywhere near 'the loops' ..come try my Canik tp9sa..I'm sorry but it's a better all round by some measure..imho...although a 150$ more expensive...ill grant that at 399$ the sd40ve is a great entry level striker...

Feels dead nuts handy in the palm, and the price is right. Wish the mags were easier to come by.
I got a mag coming from the U.S through a company, for some reason their name gets blocked when I try to type it on CGN so I will put a hyphen between the letters. A-z-t-e-c-h armouries, my stuff won't come till mid November similar to IRG seem like good folks, good comm so far!
