Sears Model 8C 10/22

Anybody out there able to tell me who made this gun for sears that was sold in Canada ?
Interested in buying one for sale locally but I'd like to know a bit more about it.
Not much I can find myself on the web.

I believe they are a re-branded Cooey 64.

It was made by Winchester and is the same as the model 64B only branded model 8C for Sears. There was also the Sears model 6C. I don't know if it was the same as the early 64 with the plastic clip and the 8C was the updated version with the steel clip or if the 8C was just a fancier stocked version. The 8C I have has a checkered stock. The model 64 is still in production today under the savage brand.
