Season Winding Down

Last night was our last Thursday of evening skeet, so just Sunday afternoon now. And only one more week of sporting clays league to go. Overall, we had less people at skeet, and our membership keeps getting older. Sporting clays is the opposite, with more members and more people in the league.

2026 target year just started.

Winter is pretty consistent in AZ and Florida thankfully.

Next Thursday will be our final weeknight Trap shoot of the year, then it goes to the 3rd Sunday of the month only. There are a few different clubs close by so even in the winter it’s possible to shoot 3 weekends a month local to me so I guess I can’t complain too much

We shoot skeet every Sunday year round, weather permitting. Our cutoff is -12, with wind chill, so we usually lose 4-5 Sundays per year. We add Thursday evening in late April, through to the beginning of September.

Shot a tournament in Clinton Ontario for sporting clays and they had a pretty good turnout but less than last month for sure.

Edmonton Gun Club (Trap only) is winding down too.

Another 1-2 Wednesdays.
No more Thursdays or Saturdays.

Only Sundays remain, and probably only until early October.
