ok so here is my dilemma. I know there are about 500 threads on optics choices but im going to beat the dead horse again and I will give you my apology in advance. The rifle I have recently acquired is a browing a bolt tactical in .308. This is a mint low round count rifle. So my dilemma is what to buy. Brands that I personally am not a fan of, because of research and some personal reasons are bushnell, vortex (some models). My first choice so far has been a sightron siii 6-24. great scope lots of good reviews on cgn as well as other places. I think bang for my buck is great and I will be happy with one as most are. I have recently came across on a great deal.... well I think it is a good deal. Found some used Schmidt + bender pm2's for sale 3-12x50 ffp p4l illuminated reticle. I can get one for 1600.00 bucks. The question is am I spending too much lol. wait I know the answer is already no. Spend as much as you can on optics. I will be shooting this rifle with friends of mine that shoot custom 6.5 rifles at 700-1000yds. I am not opposed to spending 1600.00 but really is it really going to make that much difference. Will I kick myself for not buying a S+B? I have very minimal experience in long range shooting but would like to get in to it more and more as time goes on. Any imput would be great on these 2 choices thanks so much.
