Secretive Sporting Firearms

Hard to keep firearm ownership a secret as gun culture is my lifes passion. From my clothing to my habits its not hard to piece together. If im not at work or hunting im at the range or reloading. I make no attempt to hide and i regularly invite co workers and friends out to shoot. I live in a tough lil city with high crime but i grew up with the kids from the other side of the tracks and earned my respect. The city isnt big enough to forget the ppl you grew up with. My 180lb mastiff keeps the new come meth heads at bay.
I find firearms to be tools of art and craftsmanship and will share pics online as i enjoy seeing others. Ive also learned more about my collection by posting pictures. This site has members that are truly passionate and knowledgeable about certain guns and makers and has led me to meet some incredible ppl thru the years. Ppl i would not have met if it werent for posting pictures online

I would not call them "secretive," but I have a few collector rifles that I have never photographed and posted. Most of what I picture are rifles that see use at the range or in the field... nice rifles, in excellent condition, because my OCD cannot tolerate crappy firearms, regardless of purpose. I took pictures of this M77 Mark II Express .30-06 this morning at the request of member "Slimbo." The M77 Mark II Express (RSE) was designed as the little brother to the M77 Mark II Magnum (RSM) rifles, designed for dangerous game. Where the RSM can be stout and somewhat muzzle heavy, particularly in .375 H&H, the RSE is a wonderfully balanced rifle, with features and fit and finish of expensive custom safari rifles, including the Express rib that is milled as one piece with the barrel, and lovely Express sights. This particular rifle is As New in the original factory box, but desperately needs to attend a plains game safari.

If that rifle in that caliber (actually that exact rifle)was in my possession, you can be sure it would see some games, moose caribou sheep to name a few! Maybe Hoyt you want it to see some games... just send it my way!!

Damn..thats pretty!

I remember the Calgary gun show when I was a kid, Americans would travel up as it was known as one of the last shows that wasn’t a flee market.

A Ruger collection stuffed under the bed is hard to appreciate when you know what’s out there.

Feel free to post pics. If its really secret you can quickly remove them.

There are many reasons for privacy vs. secrecy. Pre libturds, as others have mentioned or alluded to, a key reason for not talking about what one has is security. Another reason might be modesty .. vs bragging one has xx number of whatevers, engaging in a conversation about your favourite milsurp, or big bore hunter staying under the radar in that conversation might make it more enjoyable all round. I don't like to feel one-upped when talking about my Cooey 12 gauge if that's all I can afford when I hear someone has a Browning, 2 Berettas and a Holland and Holland. Post libturds .. well we all know the reasons there.

LOL!!! Some funny comments!Laugh2 Com'on men, I know some guys who have really nice firearms, but don't post them. Just wondering if there are others who are the same.

Well you should have said that in the first post, it was real strange.
I just with I had taken pictures of guns and car, motorcycles I had in the past and never thought to take pictures.
Everyone in my area knew we had guns , you could hear them.
