Ones a rapid , assuming the tip really gets the expansion going.

You know that V in VMax? It stands for Varmint, Maximum Expansion.

So, way back in the day - circa 1976, I had cut down a Rem 788 243 Win barrel to 19" for my wife to use - she had never hunted anything before. I recall then that I could get two 85 grain bullets - one was a Varmint bullet and one was not - we went with the one that was not - I think it was made by Speer. She took her one and only mule deer with a single shot. Not sure what is available in .243/6mm these days - that rifle now has a 308 Win barrel, and last seen perhaps 10 years ago - my Brother-In-Law on Vancouver Island now has it.
